What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a web feed format specified in XML and used for Web syndication. Web feeds provide web content or summaries of web content together with links to the full versions of the content (i.e. An opportunity title with a link to the complete opportunity listing), and other information. RSS delivers this information as an XML file called an RSS feed. RSS feeds allow a website's frequent readers to track updates on the site using a feed reader.

Why should I use RSS?
We can't send an Opportunity Alert email for every listing or news item added to the site – well, we could but it would be pretty overwhelming! You might be missing opportunities that are perfect for you from a club that's driving distance to your hometown to a genre specific festival (we've got opportunities from Metal to Gospel and everything in between). With RSS you can see every opportunity when it's added and be reminded as the deadline is approaching. To stay informed, simply subscribe to the opportunity feed of your choice: "Recently Added Opportunities", "Upcoming Deadlines", "It Works! (Artist Selections)" and/or "News" and you'll receive updates in real time.

How can I subscribe to an RSS feed?
A program known as a feed reader or aggregator can regularly check your feeds and display any updated items that it finds. Most feed readers are available for free, though some premium products may charge a one-time fee or a regular subscription fee. The following are some of the most popular feed readers you can use:
